This is a department of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber which focuses on Women in Business – 100 000 of whom it has already helped since setting up in 1983. It provides representation for this particular group as well as comprising both national and regional networks of women who are in business in Austria. It organises seminars on female business leadership as well as events and debates encouraging women to become entrepreneurs. However, Women In Business also represents the interests of its members at federal level, advocating an improved framework for female entrepreneurs. Finally, the chamber publishes a quarterly periodical entitled ‘The Female Entrepreneur’ which covers information on relevant current developments as well as practical advice useful to female entrepreneurs.
