WEstart is a database of around 1000 social enterprises led by women in 10 EU countries: Bulgaria, France, Hungary, Germany, Lithuania, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. The project aims to find out more about the current European situation in terms of women’s social entrepreneurship in a bid to help encourage this further by mobilising stakeholders and advocating policy change for greater support for female leadership in this sector. The database allows you to search for female-led social enterprises by sector or country, enabling connectivity between them and with other key stakeholders. It also offers project reports on research into women-led social enterprise.
