Second Chance is a European Union (EU)-funded project based in Serbia. As its name suggests, the scheme offers a “second chance” at schooling for adults who for various reasons never completed their primary education. A child usually starts primary school in Serbia at the age of 6 or 7 and finishes aged 13 or 14. Primary school is free and obligatory for all children in Serbia.
