This measure, which started in 2006, grants maternity assistance to self-employed women who have given birth and who return to work in a self-employed capacity following a period of maternity leave. Concretely, they are entitled to 105 free home-help vouchers, which are then exchanged for services in the field of household chores and housekeeping. Not only does this measure encourage self-employed women to go back to work, it also creates jobs for semi- and unskilled workers and combats undeclared work.
